Nina Siberian Husky Senior Female in Blaine, Minnesota

My story
Name: Nina Sex: Female Color: Black & White Eye Color: Blue Eyes Birthday: 05/04/2013 Weight: 53 lbs Large Dog Friendly: Yes Small Dog Friendly: Unknown Cat Friendly: Unknown Crate Trained: Yes, she doesn't like going in the crate but once she is in it she does fine Housebroken: Yes Energy Level: Low, she is still scared and hiding a lot Reaction to New People: Very timid and will shy away from new people Kid Friendly: Unknown but probably very similar to the reaction to new people, she would do best in a home with calmer children 12 and older Training: None, as of right now we have just been working on trust and teaching her humans are safe Grooming Needs: Nina has a standard husky coat which will require frequent thorough brushing. You should aim for at least once a week, and more when she is blowing her coat, typically twice a year. Although we have done no brushing as of right now due to her not trusting us fully yet. Fence: Nina is a flight risk due to her past, therefore a fence will be required for her. Solo or Siblings: Nina will need at least one other dog in her future home as she has been learning how to be a dog from her foster fur fursiblings. This is a requirement for her. From the Foster: Nina is a very pretty girl and is very sweet. She came from a breeder release from Missouri. Her foster family gave her the name Nina, which means strong because she is a strong girl who will overcome her her fears. Due her past she is very timid and scared of most things. We have been working with her a lot to show her it is okay to not be so scared and she has made some progress. She loves my two dogs and follows them everywhere. She watches everything they do and learns by following them, which makes it so important that she find a forever home with dogs for her to learn from and lean on. She does shake when we pet her and she will not come to you for pets as she is too scared, but we're working on that and hope to keep showing you that humans are kind and she's safe here with us. She is learning how to walk on a leash but she prefers to be behind us right now, we're hoping that will change as she builds up some confidence. We are excited to continue to see her grow and come out of her shell!
